A Marine's story

Billy Lynch left Dorchester 72 years ago, and they’re pretty sure they’ve finally found him, a long way from home, deep in the ground in China.

Staff Sergeant Billy Lynch was a Marine. He grew up on Victory Road, and if you go to the corner of Victory and Neponset Avenue, you’ll see the black street sign with the gold star that commemorates William Joseph Lynch Square. It is a place of honor for a Marine who disappeared 67 years ago.

He left Neponset for the Marines in 1937, right out of high school, and never came back. He was stationed in China when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and then went to the Philippines and was there when the Japanese invaded. After the battle of Corregidor in 1942, the Japanese took him prisoner.

They beat him but couldn’t break him. As soon as he could run, Billy Lynch ran from the prison camp. The Japanese caught him and beat him again, worse, and then they put him on a “hell ship’’ to China, with no ventilation, no toilet, no water, no food. It was a death march at sea.

A lot of POWs died on the hell ships, but Billy Lynch wouldn’t give his captors the satisfaction. They stuck him in a prison camp called Mukden and he escaped again. Some of the local Chinese hid him, but a 6-foot white guy from Dorchester stood out in Manchuria, and the Japanese recaptured him.

They beat him again, and there would be no third escape for Billy Lynch. He was sent to another camp, Port Arthur, now known by its Chinese name, Lushun. Billy Lynch’s captors tortured him, peeling the skin from his body before killing him, cutting him up, and stuffing his remains in a barrel that was sealed.

Some years ago, a Chinese historian named Yang Jing became intrigued with Prisoner No. 610, the only American POW never accounted for in China. He started digging, figuratively, looking for Billy Lynch.

Professor Yang found three elderly Chinese men who were slave laborers at Port Arthur and knew about the murder, dismemberment, and burial of Staff Sergeant Billy Lynch.

When Yang learned that Lynch was from Boston, he contacted John McColgan, the city’s archivist. McColgan knocked on every door on Victory Road but couldn’t find anyone who remembered the Lynches. McColgan asked Marie Daly, a genealogist at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, for help.

Daly, a detective in librarian’s clothing, found Lynch’s two nieces, Judy Armour in Bridgewater and Janet Sambuceti in Marshfield. Their DNA will prove, once and for all, whether Billy Lynch is in the ground in Manchuria.

Yesterday, a FedEx pilot named Ryan Bach and a former Marine from Norwell named Mark Voner walked around the spot in Lushun where they believe Billy Lynch’s bones rest. It’s getting too cold to dig, so the plan is to bring in an archeological team next spring.

Bach and Voner are part of a volunteer group called Moore’s Marauders, dedicated to finding American MIAs like Billy Lynch. Moore’s Marauders will send scientists over next spring.

Voner was badly wounded when the Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up in 1983, killing 241 Marines, soldiers, and sailors.

“It’s fitting that there is a Marine there right now, looking for the last Marine in China,’’ said Fred Sullivan, one of the Dorchester residents who support the cause of finding Billy Lynch. “We had to raise $25,000 to pay for the search, but it’s worth every penny. Billy Lynch should come home.’’

If, as they believe, their dig next spring yields Billy Lynch’s bones, he will come home, finally, first to St. Ann’s Church, where he made his First Communion, then on to Arlington National Cemetery.

“He deserves to be home,’’ Judy Armour said of the uncle she never met and never forgot. “That’s why he kept escaping. He kept trying, no matter what they did to him. He wanted to come home.’’

Kidnapping- Double Murder

CHRISTOPHER NEWSOM-CHANNON CHRISTIAN- Double Murder

Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, and Channon Gail Christian, 21, were a couple from Knoxville, Tennessee. According to a Tennessee grand jury, they were murdered and both were raped after being kidnapped early on the morning of January 7, 2007. Their vehicle had been carjacked. Five suspects have been arrested and charged in the case. The grand jury indicted four of the suspects on counts of murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape and theft, while one final suspect has already been convicted of federal charges as accessory after the fact to carjacking

According to news reports, Christian and Newsom had gone on a date at a local restaurant on Saturday, January 6, 2007, but did not return home. During their night out, the couple was "hijacked, bound and blindfolded and taken back to Lemaricus Devall 'Slim' Davidson's rented house on Chipman Street.

Christian's parents found her abandoned Toyota 4-Runner two blocks away from the Chipman Street house the following Monday with the help of her mobile phone provider. An envelope recovered from the vehicle yielded fingerprint evidence that led police to Lemaricus Davidson and 2316 Chipman Street. When police went to the address on Tuesday, January 9, they found the home unoccupied and Christian's body in a trash can in the kitchen.

Forensic evidence showed that Christian had also been raped vaginally, orally, and anally. One of the suspects, Vanessa Coleman, later told police that, "she witnessed Christian's mouth being cleaned with a bottle of some type of cleaner," in an attempt to remove DNA evidence. Forensic evidence showed significant trauma caused by "an object" to Christian's vagina, anus, and mouth, and that she had died slowly in the trash can, suffocating while wrapped in curtains, sheets, and several trash bags. There was also evidence of blunt trauma to her head leading to bruising of the brain in addition to bruises found on her neck, arm, back, and anal region. Coleman also said that she had seen "clothes that were stained with blood and smelled of gas being put in the washing machine at the house. Newsom was shot three times, "his body wrapped in a blanket, set afire and dumped alongside nearby railroad tracks. Evidence has also been presented that he had been anally raped

RAPE, MUTILATION AND MURDER:
A Horror Story Hidden from National Attention
James H. Lilley

On Saturday January 6, 2007 Hugh Christopher Newsom, age 23 and Channon Gail Christian, age 21, both students at the University of Tennessee went out on a date.
They were driving in Channon's Toyota 4-Runner when they were carjacked at gunpoint. Suddenly the crime turned far more savage than an armed car theft. Chris and Channon were kidnapped and driven to 2316 Chipman Street where they were forced into the home at gunpoint. While Channon was forced to watch, her boyfriend was raped prison style and then his penis was cut off. He was later driven to nearby railroad tracks where he was shot and set afire. But Channon's hell was just beginning. She was beaten; gang raped repeatedly in many ways, had one of her breasts cut off and bleach poured down her throat to destroy DNA evidence-all while she was still alive. To add to Channon's degradation the suspects took turns urinating on her. They too set her body afire, apparently inside the residence, but for some reason left her body there-in five separate trash bags

Jewish man- Kidnapped and horribly tortured

The Murder of Ilan Halimi
by NIDRA POLLER

PARIS--Two weeks ago a 23-year-old man initially identified as "Ilan" was found by a passerby stumbling in a field near the railroad tracks in the Essonne region south of Paris. Handcuffed, naked, with four-fifths of his body covered with bruises, stab wounds and serious burns, Ilan died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
Soon after, police provided more details. The victim had been kidnapped Jan. 20 and held for 24 days by a gang from the banlieues, the poor suburban projects that ring the French capital, who eluded capture while repeatedly contacting Ilan's family with ransom demands. The police suspect the group was involved in other kidnapping attempts in the past two months that used young women as bait. Several of the targeted men worked, as Ilan did, in the small cell phone shops along Boulevard Voltaire in the mixed 11th arrondissement of Paris. In another case, a suspicious father replaced his son for a meeting with a girl who claimed to be a singer, and fell into the hands of masked men who tried to capture him but ran away when someone called the police.
Throughout Ilan's disappearance, the police handled his case as a straightforward kidnap for ransom. The discovery of his body, bearing signs of barbaric torture over an extended period of time, raised serious doubts about this hypothesis. Later, a policeman admitted to the press that he and his colleagues were baffled by the gang's erratic behavior. Ransom demands went up to 400,000 euros, dropped to 100,000 euros one day, 5,000 euros another. The kidnappers called off several pickup arrangements, acting like amateurs, but were highly sophisticated in using untraceable emails and cell phones.

Yet one detail was consistently played down by the investigators and missing from the early media reporting on the killing. The victim, whose full name is Ilan Halimi, was Jewish. Most of the men targeted in other kidnapping attempts were Jewish. Most members of the gang who allegedly carried out the crime are Muslims, whose families come from the Maghreb or sub-Saharan Africa and live in the very sort of neighborhoods that went up in flames during three weeks of nationwide rioting last fall.
Jewish community leaders like Roger Cukierman, president of the Conseil Representatif des Institutions Juives de France, an umbrella group for the country's 600,000 Jews, cautioned against hasty conclusions and unreasonable panic. But French Jews have become sensitive to a well-documented rise in violent Muslim anti-Semitism over the past five years and saw anti-Semitism as the missing link in this senseless crime. After all, Ilan's family is simple and modest. Ruth Halimi, who is divorced from Ilan's father, works as a receptionist. Why else, people are asking, would Ilan be tortured so cruelly for so long? No other motive, aside from sheer hatred, is apparent.

After Ilan was found on Feb. 13, the pieces started to fall into place quickly. When the police put out a sketch of a blond woman who had tried to bait other young men in similar circumstances as Ilan Halimi's, Audrey Lorleach turned herself in. She led police to a housing project in Bagneux, a suburb in Hauts-de-Seine. Fifteen suspects in the Halimi murder, who call their gang the "Barbarians," were brought into custody. Youssouf Fofana, who refers to himself (in English) as the "Brain of the Barbarians," is the apparent ringleader. He is on the run and, investigators suspect, hiding in northern Ivory Coast, the birthplace of his parents. The girl who entrapped Ilan Halimi, who was also on the run, may be among the three people arrested in Aix-en-Provence this past week.
Ilan was held prisoner and abused in an apartment and later a utility room in the cellar in one of the project buildings. Both were lent to the gang by the concierge, who is also now in custody. Some in the gang were known delinquents. Mr. Fofana, who is 26, had served time for armed robbery. But another member was in on-the-job training in the IT service of a French TV station.
In initial statements to the press, Public Prosecutor Jean-Claude Marin and various police officials stuck to their hypothesis that money was the motive for the crime, not anti-Semitism. They noted that Ilan Halimi had been tortured as if the gang were following "a known scenario." Photos of Ilan, naked, with a sack on his head and a gun pointed at his temple were emailed to family members suggesting, according to the police, "scenes of torture at Abu Ghraib." As it turns out, the beheading of Daniel Pearl or Iraqi snuff films are the better comparison. An anonymous police detective quoted in this past Monday's edition of Liberation said: "It's simply that, for those criminals, Jew equals money."
Later that same day, investigating magistrate Corinne Goetzmann detained seven of the suspects on charges of kidnapping, sequestration, torture, acts of barbarism and premeditated murder in an organized gang. They will also be charged with targeting the victim on the basis of his religion, French for hate crime, which carries a stiffer penalty. Justice Minister Pascal Clement explained that the charge of anti-Semitism was based on the fact that one of the suspects had declared to the judge that they picked a Jew because Jews are supposed to be rich. But, according to reports in the French press, some of the suspects in police custody said that they tortured Ilan with particular cruelty simply because he was Jewish.
No longer able to deny or play down the racial motive, the investigation is entering a new phase. One of the most troubling aspects of this affair is the probable involvement of relatives and neighbors, beyond the immediate circle of the gang, who were told about the Jewish hostage and dropped in to participate in the torture.
Ilan's uncle Rafi Halimi told reporters that the gang phoned the family on several occasions and made them listen to the recitation of verses from the Koran, while Ilan's tortured screams could be heard in the background. The family has publicly criticized the police for deliberately ignoring the explicit anti-Semitic motives, which were repeatedly expressed and should have dictated an entirely different approach to the case from the start. Police searches have now revealed the presence of Islamist literature in the home of at least one of the gang members.

The highest echelons of the French government are now preoccupied with the murder of Ilan Halimi. Paris is well aware that the case threatens France's international reputation, but far more than that is at stake. Once again, as in the suburban riots of 2005, the country is forced to come face to face with the criminalized, alienated and racist Muslim youth and their adult enablers in its midst.
Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin declared, in a long speech delivered at the annual dinner of the CRIF, that this heinous crime was anti-Semitic, and that anti-Semitism is not acceptable in France. He promised that the perpetrators would be captured and punished. Two French policemen were sent to the Ivory Coast with an international warrant to arrest Mr. Fofana who flew there on a one-way ticket on Feb. 15, the day that his photo appeared in Le Figaro. A delegation of the CRIF and members of the Halimi family this past Tuesday met with Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy.
The murder of Ilan Halimi invites comparison with the November 2003 killing of a Jewish disc jockey, Sebastien Selam. His Muslim neighbor, Adel, slit his throat, nearly decapitating him, and gouged out his eyes with a carving fork in his building's underground parking garage. Adel came upstairs with bloodied hands and told his mother, "I killed my Jew, I will go to paradise." In the two years before his murder, the Selam family was repeatedly harassed for being Jewish. The Selam case has not been opened by the magistrate. The murderer, who admits his guilt, was placed in a psychiatric hospital, and may be released soon.
The initial response to the kidnapping of Ilan Halimi suggested a comparably selective ignorance. But many things have changed in French society in the past two years. Then, faced with the new tide of anti-Semitism, the Jewish community was left alone with its distress and at times even accused of being justifiably targeted because of its support for Israel. Today the government has apparently decided that the barbarous hatred unleashed against one Jewish man is a threat to all of France.

Timeline of the crime

According to press reports based on information from French criminal investigation authorities, as of 25 February 2006 the crime is believed to have happened as follows:

On 21 January, Halimi, aged 23, was lured by an attractive 17-year-old French-Iranian girl to an apartment block in the Parisian banlieues (suburbs, which are often associated with the poor).

There Halimi was overwhelmed by a youth gang and kept prisoner for twenty-four days. During that time, his kidnappers tortured him by stabbing him with knives, burning his face and body with cigarattes and beating him in order to try to extract a ransom of initially EUR 450,000 from his family. As the days wore on, his captors turned increasingly cruel, stripping off his clothes and beating, scratching and cutting him. A burning cigarette was pressed into his forehead. His kidnappers finally poured flammable liquid on him and set him on fire. Reportedly, neighbors came by to watch and to even participate in the torture but no one called the authorities.

On 13 February, Halimi was found naked, tied and handcuffed to a tree near a railroad track in the Parisian suburbs, with burns from acid and flammable liquid covering 80% of his body (possibly to destroy evidence of his captors' DNA), with multiple stab wounds, as well as with one severed ear and toe. On the way to the hospital, he died from his wounds.

In the subsequent days, French police arrested 21 persons in connection with the crime, including the woman used as bait. The alleged leader of the gang, Youssouf Fofana, fled to his parents' homeland of Ivory Coast, where he was arrested on 23 February. Fofana was extradited back to France on 4 March 2006.

Torture and Death of Jew Deepen Fears in France

By Craig S. Smith

BAGNEUX, France, March 3

Two strips of red-and-white police tape bar the entrance to the low-ceilinged pump room where a young Jewish man, Ilan Halimi, spent the last weeks of his life, tormented and tortured by his captors and eventually splashed with acid in an attempt to erase any traces of their DNA.

The floor of the concrete room, in the cellar of 4, rue Serge-Prokofiev, is bare except for a few packets of rat poison, a slowly drying wet mark and a dozen small circles drawn and numbered in white chalk, presumably marking the spots where the police retrieved evidence of Mr. Halimi's ordeal.

Mr. Halimi, 23, died Feb. 13, shortly after he was found near a train station 15 miles away by passers-by, after crawling out of the wooded area where he was dumped. He was naked and bleeding from at least four stab wounds to his throat, his hands bound and adhesive tape covering his mouth and eyes. According to the initial autopsy report, burns, apparently from the acid, covered 60 percent of his body.

"I knew they had someone down there," said a young French-Arab man, loitering in the doorway of a building adjacent to the one where Mr. Halimi was held. He claimed to live upstairs from the makeshift dungeon but would not give his name or say whether he knew then that the man was a Jew. "I didn't know they were torturing him," he said. "Otherwise, I would have called the police."But it is clear that plenty of people did know, both that Mr. Halimi was being tortured and that he was Jewish. The police, according to lawyers with access to the investigation files, think at least 20 people participated in his abduction and the subsequent, amateurish negotiations for ransom. His captors told his family that if they did not have the money, they should "go and get it from your synagogue," and later contacted a rabbi, telling him, "We have a Jew."

The horrifying death has stunned France, which has Europe's largest Muslim and largest Jewish populations. Last weekend, tens of thousands of people marched against racism and anti-Semitism in Paris, joined by the interior minister, Nicholas Sarkozy, and smaller marches took place in several other French cities, including Marseille. In the wake of the riots that broke out in the immigrant-heavy Paris suburbs last fall, the case seems to embody the social problems of immigration, race and class that France has been facing with so much uncertainty. The emerging details raise deep fears of virulent anti-Semitism within the hardening underclass, and point to the decaying social fabric in which that underclass lives.

Those that the police say kidnapped and killed Mr. Halimi called themselves the Barbarians, and included people of different backgrounds: the children of blacks from sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean, of Arabs from North Africa, of at least one Persian from Iran, and of whites from Portugal and France. The gang's leader was a tall, charismatic young man named Youssouf Fofana, 25, one of five children born in Paris to at least nominally Muslim immigrants from Ivory Coast. When he was a teenager, the family moved to the bleak neighborhood of 12-story concrete apartment blocks where Mr. Halimi was held.Trouble started early. He studied plumbing at a local vocational school but by the age of 16 had already begun a series of run-ins with the police, eventually racking up 13 arrests for everything from theft to fencing stolen goods. In 1999, at the age of 19, he stole a car, beating the Portuguese owner who tried to intervene. He was arrested and sentenced to his only jail term, serving two years in prisons in Nanterre and Fleury-Mérogis, neither far from Paris. He returned to his mother's apartment and used his prison credentials to assume the role of senior tough among younger, idle men and women, people in the neighborhood say. Lawyers familiar with the case suggest that this is when the seeds of the Barbarians were sown.By 2004, the police say, he tried extortion, aiming at prominent French Jews. When that failed, the gang apparently turned to kidnapping, using young women as bait. The Barbarians are thought to have been behind six attempted abductions, four of Jewish men, before succeeding with Mr. Halimi. In a case in early January, a woman tried repeatedly to get a Jewish music producer to meet her on the outskirts of Paris, finally managing instead to persuade his father to come to a suburban parking lot, on the pretext that she had music CD's that belonged to his son. Several men met the father instead, beating him senseless when he resisted their attempt to force him into their car.

Mike Akiba worked with Mr. Halimi at Voltaire Phone in Paris, one of a dozen tiny Jewish-owned cellular telephone shops along Boulevard Voltaire in the 11th Arrondissement. He said Mr. Halimi was alone in the store when a 17-year-old French-Iranian girl came in and flirted with him. Mr. Akiba said she might have thought Mr. Halimi, a handsome man with piercing brown eyes, was the owner.Mr. Halimi told Mr. Akiba about her the next day and said he had agreed to meet her that Friday night near Porte d'Orleans, a neighborhood on Paris's southern edge. Mr. Akiba last saw him about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, as he drove from Boulevard Voltaire in his Champagne-colored Renault Twingo.Mr. Halimi apparently met the woman as planned, then drove her to Sceaux, a suburb near Bagneux, where his captors must have grabbed him. His car was later found abandoned in a parking lot there.Mr. Akiba said the investigating police officers discovered the gang had tried the same tactic on several men in the other phone shops.

Mr. Halimi was taken to the Pierre-Plate housing project in Bagneux, and initially held in an empty third-floor apartment at 1, rue Serge-Prokofiev, with the help of the building's superintendent, according to the lawyers who have seen the investigative files. The gang covered his eyes and mouth with tape, leaving only a hole for a straw. The Halimi family's first contact with the kidnappers was the night of Saturday, Jan. 21, when a gang member called Mr. Halimi's girlfriend and instructed her to log on to a Hotmail e-mail account. That began a series of agonizingly disjointed communications from Mr. Halimi's abductors that included hundreds of phone calls and e-mail messages, and ransom demands that started at $500,000 and dropped to $5,000, said the family's lawyer, Francis Szpiner.

After a few days, the gang moved their captive to the concrete basement room beneath a section of the building a few doors down. They shaved his head and sliced his cheek with a knife, photographed him with blood running down his face, and e-mailed the picture to his family. As the days wore on, his captors turned increasingly cruel, stripping off his clothes and beating, scratching and cutting him. A burning cigarette was pressed into his forehead. The family was instructed to send a ransom to Ivory Coast, via Western Union, and Mr. Fofana traveled to that country at least once in early February. According to reports after his eventual arrest, it was after the ransom failed to arrive that the torture of Mr. Halimi began in earnest. The police did not yet know the identities of the gang members but were close on their heels. Around Feb. 10, Mr. Fofana briefly visited an Internet cafe on the Rue de la Fidélité in the 10th Arrondissement, wearing a cap and a scarf that covered his mouth and nose. "I don't even think he took his gloves off," the manager said Friday. Just 15 minutes later, he said, police officers arrived looking for a black man, a computer-generated sketch in hand. They lifted fingerprints from the keyboard Mr. Fofana had used and confiscated the computer's hard drive and the 5-euro note he had paid with.On the evening of Feb. 13, Mr. Halimi was found. It is not yet clear when he was stabbed or whether his captors thought he was dead when they dumped him among the trees behind the Ste.-Geneviève-des-Bois train station south of Paris. Two days later, with the case beginning to make shocking headlines, Mr. Fofana flew back to Ivory Coast and was soon moving freely about town with a girlfriend, identified by the French media as Mariam Cissé.

Meanwhile, the police had begun circulating sketches of two women who had served the gang as bait, drawn from the recollections of the men who had been approached. One was the 17-year-old French-Iranian believed to have lured Mr. Halimi to his death. The sketch of a second woman proved particularly accurate, and when it was shown on television, many people recognized her as Audrey Lorleach, 24, lawyers involved in the case say.Fearing she would be caught, Ms. Lorleach turned herself in and led the police to her boyfriend, Jérôme Tony Ribeiro, a young man of Portuguese descent. He gave the police Mr. Fofana's name. When Mr. Fofana saw his name and image in the French media the next day, he was enraged and called Mr. Halimi's father and girlfriend and various of his accomplices in France from Abidjan, threatening them all — and confirming his whereabouts to the police. He was arrested on Feb. 22. [Mr. Fofana was returned to France on Saturday after being handed over to French custody by Ivorian authorities, Agence France-Presse reported.]So far, a total of 19 people, ages 17 to 39, have been arrested in connection with Mr. Halimi's abduction and death, including the French-Iranian woman, whose first name is Yalda. The police found Islamist literature and documents supporting a Palestinian aid group in the home of at least one of the people arrested, but lawyers involved in the case dismiss Islamic extremism as a motivation, noting that many of the people involved were not Muslim. The Halimis' lawyer, Mr. Szpiner, denied French news reports that the gang had called Mr. Halimi's family and recited the Koran.Mr. Fofana has admitted his involvement. In an interview videotaped by a local journalist at the police station in Abidjan and broadcast on French television, a smiling, relaxed Mr. Fofana denied that he killed Mr. Halimi and dismissed the anti-Semitic aspect of the abduction."It was done for financial ends," he said on the tape.Standing in the doorway in Bagneux near where Mr. Halimi was held, the young French-Arab man smiled when asked about Mr. Fofana. "He was nice, everybody liked him," he said. "If the police bring him back here, the guys in the neighborhood will liberate him."

American Pow's torments in Iraq

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Jeffrey Tice, USAF

On January 19, 1991, Lt. Col. (then-Major) Jeffrey Tice’s F-16 aircraft was struck by a surface-to-air missile over Baghdad . He flew for nearly 100 miles toward safety in Saudi Arabia before he was forced to eject over Iraqi territory. Within thirty seconds of landing, he was surrounded by Bedouin tribesmen, kneed in the groin, and struck with a rifle butt in the back of his neck. That night he was taken to their camp where they took turns punching, kicking, or threatening him with knives. In addition, he was forced to hold a gun to his head and play Russian roulette. The next day, he was bound and taken to a nearby town to await interrogators.
Three men interrogated him, and he responded to their questions with name, rank, and serial number only. They handcuffed him behind his back, picked him up by his elbows, and dragged him to an unmarked car for the drive to Baghdad . Each time he moved, the handcuffs tightened and dug deeper into his skin.
In Baghdad , he was taken to a room inside a building on an Iraqi military compound and thrown to the floor. After a few minutes, he was shoved, still blindfolded, down several flights of stairs into an underground bunker. Initially, he was placed in a hallway in the bunker where passing Iraqis kicked him, slapped him, and spit on him. He was then transferred to an interrogation room and chained to a chair. Over the next two or three days, he was interrogated around the clock in sessions lasting approximately thirty minutes, interspersed with thirty-minute breaks. Because of his rank, his interrogators pressed him for significant strategic information.
His interrogators beat him, generally in the lower extremities, focusing on his left leg and knee, and struck him all over his body with whatever objects they had at hand. At one point, he was struck with a wooden plank that shattered and almost broke his lower left leg. In addition to the pain from the beatings, he had completely lost circulation in his hands after approximately twelve to fourteen hours of being tightly handcuffed. Lt. Col. Tice was beaten almost to the point of unconsciousness several times during these interrogation sessions. After the first day of torture, he was already badly bruised.
Voicing suspicions that he might be Israeli, his captors stripped him naked below the waist to check for circumcision. His penis was fondled and he was verbally abused during this inspection. His interrogators then accused him of being an Israeli spy.

Vietnam Pow's story

Don’t Forget Us, the POWs — Don’t Forget Us, the POWs is a very special scene, because I made it after I received an anonymous phone call at home after some of my stuff was shown on a local television program, shortly after I got started. Some vet in our area called me to say I was not talking about POWs or MIAs and went on for an hour and a half to describe some of his experiences. Being a prisoner of war is no picnic. You’re tortured daily, you’re beaten daily. They drag you through a village, from village to village, and try to break your morale, try to go against what you believe in, try to show you that you are wrong, killing kids and women, things like that. As the survivors of a Viet Cong ambush, these two men were subjected to inhuman treatment. They were beaten, stripped naked, and paraded through the streets of North Vietnam. The idea was to strip the soldier of his morale, leaving him with guilt. This treatment either strengthened him or broke him. Vets experience great psychological anguish when attempting to describe such experiences because we feel deeply for each other.

Marcantonio Bragadino Venetian commander

Marcantonio Bragadino who surrendered to theTurks was given very special treatment - it began with the slicing off of his nose and ears. He was whipped daily, given hard and humiliating labour , forced to kiss the earthunder the Turkish general's feet. His teeth were broken and then in Famagusta's central square - flayed alive. His voice , reciting the misere mei Deus ,gradually weakened. He was dead by the time his executioners knives reached his groin. His skin was stuffed with straw , hung from the mast of Mustapha'sflagship and passed in triumph along the Cypriot coast.

Marcantonio Bragadino- Venetian commander <1569-1602>

The admiral Marcantonio Bragadino was a remarkable Venetian commander who defended Famagusta during the wars of XVIe century against the Turks. It was shown compétant and courageous but, at the end of several months of seat, it was obliged to go. The Turkish chief offered honourable conditions to him and Bragadino left the fortress to sign rendering, vêtu dress crimson of its load, accompanied by the officers by his staff and protected from the sun by a large red umbrella from ceremony. The pasha accepted it initially courteously. But suddenly, during the ceremony, Turkish rose of a jump, showed Bragadino of atrocities towards the prisoners and ordered that the Venetian officers are massacred on the spot. The fate of Bragadino, was worse still. With three recoveries, it was about to be decapitated and by refinements of cruelty, one ordered to the torturer to stop. Its nose and its ears were cut, its body was mutilated, and during 10 days it was, each morning, charged with ground baskets, led on the Turkish fortifications and to stop in front of the tent of the pasha where it was to kiss the ground. One hoisted it with the yard of a ship and one let it be balanced there during hours. It suffered all kinds of mocking remarks sadistic and degrading. Finally, it was led on the great place of the city, was stripped, connected with a pile and sharp sectional view in the presence of the pasha. Its skin was empaillée and walked in the streets on a cow, with its red umbrella above him signs derision of it. And when finally the pasha regained in triumph the Gold Horn, this macabre trophy was balanced with the bowsprit of the ship standard. The skin was preserved at the arsenal Turkish of Constantinople. Years later, the Venetian ones took it again, some say bought it and others stole it. One can see today below the bust of Bragadino a small stone ballot box where its yellowed and seamed skin rests, carefully folded, like a handkerchief in a drawer with linen.

Near the Gulf of Lepanto

The future author of Don Quixote, Miguel de Cervantes, served on one of the Christian galleys in what he called the greatest naval sea battle in history and the most important to that time for the safety of Europe. The Turks had been massing an enormous fleet for an invasion of Italy. The preparations began to be reported on many months in advance. It was the year 1571 when that fleet was gathered near a port in Greece, not far from the Gulf of Lepanto. For over a year, Pope Pius V had tried to alert the great powers of Europe to the coming menace. But England, France, and the regional powers of what later became Germany were preoccupied with the turmoil of the Reformation.Only Don Juan of Austria, the bastard son of the king of Spain, was stirred by the danger. Despite his youth, despite his modest standing, Don Juan sent out urgent appeals and eventually gathered a sturdy fleet, outfitted with new warfare technologies invented in the West and rapidly mass-produced by the fledgling ship-building and armament firms of what was later to be called “Western capitalism.” He gathered fleets from Venice and Genoa, from Spain, and from the Knights of Malta. In a deliberately preemptive strike, blessed by the pope, this small fleet set sail to catch the Turkish armada before it left the waters of Greece. The Venetians, on the left flank of the battle line, were especially passionate. Not long before, the Turks had so battered an island port maintained by Venetians (and others) that the Venetian commander, Marcantonio Bragadino appealed for a truce. The Turks promised him and his subjects safe passage — and then took him prisoner, beat him, cut off his nose and ears, put a collar on him, and made him crawl like a dog before the conquering army. In a little cage, he was hoisted up on the mast of the galley so that all in the fleet and on land could see him. Then he was brought down flayed mercilessly, his skin carefully stripped from his body as he died (the skin was later stuffed with straw and sent off to Constantinople as a trophy). Thousands of Venetians and others were slaughtered on the spot, or driven off in captivity for service on Turkish galleys or in Turkish harems. But other elements of the Christian fleets were also angry. For decades now, the Turks had used their near-supremacy in the Mediterranean to make constant raids on the Christian communities near to the sea, and hauled away young women and men for the harems, and stronger men for the galleys.Indeed, many of the galley slaves pulling the oars of the Turkish fleet sailing proudly and confidently into the Gulf of Lepanto were Christians captured in these and other ways. There they were starved, beaten, and living in their own waste, kept just strong enough to pull on the great oars, to which they were chained. Furiously, below decks, some of these galley slaves were struggling to break through their chains once the battle was joined. Finally some did, and rose up from below deck swinging their chains and causing mayhem among already embattled Muslim sailors.

As the Captain of the Venetian forces at the siege of Famagusta on Cyprus in 1571 Bragadin suffered one of the most brutal and painful deaths imaginable, during a period of history that turned out to be very significant in the relationships between the Christian states of the 'West' in Europe and the Islamic empire in the 'East'.

I'm currently reading a 1936 work by H.V. Morton called "In The Steps Of St. Paul", and he recounts the story of Bragadin's death thus:

When the Turks entered Famagusta, this gallant soldier was brought before the Turkish general, Lala Mustafa, who pretended to execute him. He was forced to bare his neck three times to the executioner's sword, which each time was slowly lowered. Eventually, at a sign from the Turk, his nose and ears were cut off. "Where is your Christ now?" asked the Pasha. "Why does He not come and help you?" Those who watched the scene have left accounts in which they tell with what dignity and in what proud silence the tortured man bore himself. For ten days he was forced to carry earth to the ramparts and to kiss the ground each time that he passed the Pasha's tent. Then he was hoisted in a slung seat, with a crown tied at his feet, to the yard-arm of the flagship, and thus exposed to the jeers of the Turkish forces. At the end of ten days Bragadino was led with drums and trumpets to the great square of Famagusta, stripped, tied to a pillar, and slowly flayed alive ... Bragadino's skin, stuffed with straw, was tied to a cow and, with a red umbrella held over it in mockery, was paraded through the town. The tortured body was cut up like meat and portions hung on the gates of Famagusta. When the Turks sailed for Constantinople they tied the stuffed skin of Bragadino to the yard-arm and paraded it round the ports of the Mediterranean.

My sources dispute what happened next. Alberto Toso Fei's "Venetian Legends and Ghost Stories" book claims that the skin was captured from the armoury in Constantinople where it was on display as a war trophy. H.V. Morton claims that it was sold back to Bragadin's sons at a price. Either way the skin of the Ventian captain now resides in an urn set into a marble tribute to him, which features a head-and-shoulders bust of Bragadin and a sculpted relief of his death scene.

Fei's book quotes chronicles of the time describing the skin when it arrived in Venice:

It was folded in the width of a sheet of paper, solid and palpable as if it were a small cloth; you could still see the hairs of the chest attached to it, and on the right hand which had been skinned the unfinished fingers with the nails which still seemed alive...

Nauplia Massacre-GREECE

In December 1822, it was the turn of Nauplia town. In the streets of that town, which the rebels besieged for a long time, people frequently came across the dead bodies of children who had died of starvation. Emaciated women tried to scavege for food in filthy drains. Accordind to a German officer, Kotsch, one of the European volunteers who happened to be at Nauplia during the incidents, a Greek Orthodox priest who was suspected of establishing relations with the Turks had his fingers scalded by Greeks with hot water and his nails burnt. He was then buried in the ground up to his neck and his face was brushed with syrup so that flies would attack him. It took him six days to die in agony. Rebels captured a Jew trying to escape from the town, stripped him and cut off his genitals, before leading him around the town and then hanging him.

Marine's castration and torture by Vietong

In the book "Marine Sniper" by Charles Henderson, He devotes a whole chapter to the Apache Woman, The real life sadistic female VC. The following is an actual torture/castration she performed on a young captured soldier. The autor added some dialog for interest as if it needed any more. I think any castration is interesting enough. Just imagine being tied up naked and having an attractive Asian woman approach you with a huge knife, knowing she is going to cut your balls and dick off!!!! Read and enjoy.....

As one of the few U.S. snipers, Carlos faced competition from Viet Cong snipers, who were masters at their art. One of the most feared in his area was a woman, code named "Apache", a fuckin' psycho who, like may female snipers, took special relish in Teaching a Lesson to her foes. Apache enjoyed torturing prisoners within earshot of U.S. bases. -- Across the quarter-mile of rice fields that separated the tree line from the hill, the tormented Marine who had been taken prisoner that afternoon hung naked on a rack made of bamboo. He wore only his boots and the green wool socks that had his name stamped in black ink across the tops. Blood streamed down his cheeks, mixed with tears. The boy, just out of his teens, tried to blink, but the effort only obscured his vision with blood that flooded from where his eyelids had been cut away. He cried and prayed aloud, reacting to the pain each time he strained to blink. The Viet Cong woman had pried off each of his fingernails and was now in the process of bending his fingers backward, snapping them at their middle joints. She had finished with the left and right little fingers and was working her way toward the index fingers, one at a time. Breaking a finger every twenty minutes, she followed a well-planned timetable of torture that covered her prisoner's entire body and would carry the session through the night. At a few minutes before midnight, she had eight fingers to go. The woman and four men from her platoon sat at the Marine's feet, speaking softly in Vietnamese and laughing. The remainder of her platoon lay quietly surrounding her in a maze of sniper hides, ready to ambush anyone who might try to come to rescue the prisoner. The woman chewed betel nut, spitting the juice between her feet as she squatted with her arms resting across the tops of her knees. She looked at the youthful Marine. "You cherry boy? I think maybe no. You get plenty pussy back stateside, yeah. You get Vietnamese pussy too? I think you do. You go China Beach swimming, fuck plenty. "You like get cherry pussy? Plenty American GI like cherry pussy. Rape many young girl-take cherry pussy. True! I know true." She shouted in Vietnamese at the men squatted by her, and they glared at the Marine. The woman walked to where the boy hung limp on the bamboo rack and spit a mouthful of betel nut into his eyes. "You goddamn-fucking GI!" she said... As the fog thickened just before dawn, the Viet Cong woman torturer completed her work on her prisoner. "Goddamn-fucking GI. You no fuck no more," she said, as she approached him with a long, curved knife in her hand. Taking his genitals in her left hand, she jammed the blade's point beneath the base of his penis, grazing his pubic bone. She pulled the knife with a sweeping, circular cut that released both testicles and his penis in one large handful of flesh that gushed with blood. Blood surged from the gaping cavity left between his legs. She knew that this man could not last long, and, quickly cutting away the cords that bound him to the bamboo rack, she said, shaking with laughter, "Run, GI. Maybe you live-you find doctor in time! Run to wire. We watch Marines shoot you fucking ass." The Marine ran, shouting unintelligibly, as blood gushed so rapidly from his body that it left jellylike pools on the compost of decaying leaves that covered the forest floor. And when he emerged from the trees on the far side of a rice field that lay below the observation post where Land and Wilson watched, he began waving his arms, screaming incoherently and sobbing.

Detailed story of Human Sacrifice

Among the Meriah: "Human sacrifices were offered to the Earth Goddess by tribes, branches of tribes, or villages, both at periodical festivals and on extraordinary occasions. The periodical sacrifices were generally so arranged by tribes and divisions of tribes that each head of a family was enabled, at least once a year, to procure a shred of flesh for his fields, generally about the time when his chief crop was laid down.

festivals and on extraordinary occasions. The periodical sacrifices were generally so arranged by tribes and divisions of tribes that each head of a family was enabled, at least once a year, to procure a shred of flesh for his fields, generally about the time when his chief crop was laid down.

All of the Babylonian, Cannanite, or Egyptian worship of the Hebrews came out of this area. All ritual with music and sacrifice was a fertility ritual. The Feast of Tabernacles to which Jesus at first refused to attend was a giant fertility ritual much like the modern Jubilee where the "sacraficial victims" are the enemies of the musical team playing around the "trees" or Asherah poles or free-standing, non-functional columns.

The mode of performing these tribal sacrifices was as follows. Ten or twelve days before the sacrifice, the victim was devoted by cutting off his hair, which, until then, had been kept unshorn.

Crowds of men and women assembled to witness the sacrifice; none might be excluded, since the sacrifice was declared to be for all mankind. It was preceded by several days of wild revelry and gross debauchery.

On the day before the sacrifice the victim, dressed in a new garment, was led forth from the village in solemn procession, with music and dancing, to the Meriah grove, a clump of high forest trees standing a little way from the village and untouched by the axe.

There they tied him to a post, which was sometimes placed between two plants of the sankissar shrub.

He was then anointed with oil, ghee, and turmeric, and adorned with flowers;

and a species of reverence, which it is not easy to distinguish from adoration, was paid to him throughout the day.

A great struggle now arose to obtain the smallest relic from his person; a particle of the turmeric paste with which he was smeared, or a drop of his spittle, was esteemed of sovereign virtue, especially by the women.

The crowd danced round the post to music, and addressing the earth, said, "O God, we offer this sacrifice to you; give us good crops, seasons, and health";
then speaking to the victim they said,

"We bought you with a price, and did not seize you; now we sacrifice you according to custom, and no sin rests with us."

On the last morning the orgies, which had been scarcely interrupted during the night, were resumed, and continued till noon, when they ceased,

and the assembly proceeded to consummate the sacrifice.

The victim was again anointed with oil, and each person touched the anointed part, and wiped the oil on his own head.

In some places they took the victim in procession round the village, from door to door, where some plucked hair from his head, and others begged for a drop of his spittle, with which they anointed their heads.

As the victim might not be bound nor make any show of resistance, the bones of his arms and, if necessary, his legs were broken; but often this precaution was rendered unnecessary by stupefying him with opium.

The mode of putting him to death varied in different places. One of the commonest modes seems to have been strangulation, or squeezing to death.

The branch of a green tree was cleft several feet down the middle; the victim's neck (in other places, his chest) was inserted in the cleft, which the priest, aided by his assistants, strove with all his force to close.

Then he wounded the victim slightly with his axe, whereupon the crowd rushed at the wretch and hewed the flesh from the bones, leaving the head and bowels untouched.

Human Sacrifice and Cannibalism

Sir James George Frazer (1854&endash;1941). The Golden Bough. 1922. On human Sacrifice.

Among the Lhota Naga, one of the many savage tribes who inhabit the deep rugged labyrinthine glens which wind into the mountains from the rich valley of , it used to be a common custom to chop off the heads, hands, and feet of people they met with, and then to stick up the severed extremities in their fields to ensure a good crop of grain.

They bore no ill-will whatever to the persons upon whom they operated in this unceremonious fashion.

Once they flayed a boy alive, carved him in pieces, and distributed the flesh among all the villagers, who put it into their corn-bins to avert bad luck and ensure plentiful crops of grain.

The Gonds of India, a Dravidian race, kidnapped Brahman boys, and kept them as victims to be sacrificed on various occasions.

At sowing and reaping, after a triumphal procession, one of the lads was slain by being punctured with a poisoned arrow.

His blood was then sprinkled over the ploughed field or the ripe crop,

and his flesh was devoured.

Human Sacrifice and Ritual murder by JEWS

1823. Velisch, Russia. On Easter Sunday, a 21 year old boy disappeared. His body was found in a marsh one week later; there were punctured wounds all over the body and the skin was scarified. There were wounds of circumcision; the feet were bloody and a bandage had been tied around the legs. The body had been undressed, washed, and again dressed. No blood was found near the body, which was drained of blood. Doctors gave evidence on oath that the child had been tortured to death. Some years later, five Jews were arrested together with three Russian women who had become Jewesses; these three women confessed that they had, one week before Passover in 1823, been made drunk by a Jewess who kept an inn and that the latter had bribed one of them to procure a boy. One of these converted Jewesses described how the boy had been forcibly circumcised by the Jews and rolled about in a barrel until his skin was scraped all over. The boy had been taken to the school where a number of Jews were assembled, laid in a trough, and all present had made stabs with a nail in his side and temples. When the boy died under this torture, his body was taken to a wood by two of the converted Jewesses; and the third woman took a bottle of the blood of the boy to the Jewess innkeeper aforesaid. Next day, the Rabbi's wife took the three women again to the school where the Jews were gathered; bottles were filled from the trough by means of a funnel, and the Rabbi dipped a nail into the blood and dropped a little onto a number of pieces of cloth, one piece of which was given to everyone present. The case went to the Imperial Council at St. Petersburg, all the lower courts which dealt with the case having found the Jews guilty. The Imperial Council reversed the verdict and, on 18th January, 1835, the three Russian Jewish convert women were sent to Siberia whilst all the Jews were acquitted of the crime! Authorities: Recorded in the Jewish Encyclopedia, 1903, Vol. III, p. 267; described in Der Sturmer, May, 1934.

Japanese Atrocities

Castrated marine with his genitals stuffed in his mouth

Japanese Atrocity towards Allied Pow's

The first time i read this story I got hooked up.. I wonder if its true or just a fiction so I emailed the author of the articles to verify. He told me that this story really happen and he got proof. actually he emailed me a pic of castrated soldier, saw that one before but his copy is more clear and with color. He told me he will share his stories and collections of pics. There were about fifty of those atrocity photos altogether, and a number of them were of poor quality, probably due to poor taking conditions. All were clear enough to easily discern though and several I remember very vividly. One of the most memorable depicted a tall man, probably in his late twenties, with neat, curly, bushy hair and a well-trimmed beard, standing very straight, his hands pinioned behind his back. I remember that he had very fine features. He was naked, with his pants and shorts down around his ankles. He had an enormous, nearly ten inch cock, which was standing up full erect and his quite large balls were hanging down low. The photo was well taken at about six feet from the subject with the cameraman apparently squatting and his camera aimed upward. A Japanese soldier, wearing only a cap and Japanese style sshorts wass standing beside the prisoner. In his left hand he held his bayonet poised about a foot above the prisoner's crotch and he was gripping the head of the prisoners cock firmly between the thumb and forefinger of his right hand and stretching it outward. The prisoner was standing quiet and composed and appeared to be quite calm. I was especially mindful of how he seemedto be staring in fascination at his threatened manhood. In the background could be seen at least a dozen more onlooking Japanese soldiers, all smiling, perrhaps waiting for the 'Trophy' to be collected and tossed to them for inspection.Another photo was of the same prisoner taken only a moment or two after the first. He was still standing in the same position, only now he had a look of painful shock and surprise on his face. Both of his arms had been freed and his hands were clutched tightly over his crotch, blood oozing from between his fingers. The bayonet in the left hand of the Japanese soldier was hanging down at his left side and in his right hand which was raised up over his head, still gripped firmly by the head, was the prisoners entire penis, scrotum and both testicles for all to see. The soldiers in the background were all clapping their hands and appeared to be cheering.Several of the photos showed Japanese soldiers proudly displaying newly acquired trophies with the donator standing or lying nearby clutching his mutilated crotch. There was one photo of two Japanese soldiers, both completely naked, standing at each end of a large table, each displaying his own full erection and in each hand they were holding up a very large set of male genitals, all from blacks it looked like. On the table between them, arranged for full view were at least fifty more sets of genitals, some blacks and some whites. I know this figure is correct because I counted them.Others of the photos were variations of the first prisoner's emasculation. The captives were either tied to stakes or nearby trees. In all of them, it was especially notable how those who had not been blindfolded and thusly allowed to watch their emasculation, each seemed to be staring in utter enthrallment and horror at their threatened tokens of manhood. All that I could see, also had a full erection but because of the way some of the photos were taken I could not tell if they all did or not.I would have to say that the most unforgetable photos in the collection though were the four of a very goodlooking young blonde boy, in his late teens or very early twenties, about 5'10" tall, and weighing not much more than 165 lbs. He had the typical cherubic 'All American' face and had probably just been captured. The first of the four photos showed him being held helpless by his captors back up against a tree, naked from the waist down, his pants and shorts lying on the ground nearby. His genitals were very visible in the photo. His cock was quite typical of the cocks you see so often in American High School showerr rooms, circumcised, near eight inches long when erect, a noticably wide head with flaring corona and always hanging not quite flacid. Possibly he was already reacting to the exposure and fondling. The second photo was of the youth a moment later. His cock is now standing up full erect and he is grimmacing in obvious pain as one of his captors has a fist clamped around his scrotum, undoubtedly squeezing. The third photo shows one of his captors standing in front of him with a bayonet poised in one hand at the ready and the thumb and forefinger of his other hand looped tightly around the base of the youth's cluster. The look on the youth's face has changed to one of fearful apprehension and he is obviously staring in utter fascination at his threatened manhood. The fourth photo shows the youth standing free, leaning back against the tree with both hands clutched forlornly over his crotch, blood oozing from between his fingers. On his face is a look of shock, surprise and pain. The Japanese soldier who wielded the bayonet is holding up what he has just sliced free from the youth's crotch. There is a look of triumph on his face as he proudly displays his newly acquired prize for all to see.Other pictures depict sexual tortures prior to castration or in lieu of castration; crushing of the balls between rocks, multiple piercings of the cock and balls with bamboo splinters, nails and even knives, twisting of the balls until they burst from the sac, pounding of the cock between rocks, burning of the cock and/or balls with fire, and many others that I can't even begin to describe. It is newly captured prisoners that these tortures are especially applied to...it bringing the quickest results in the quest for enemy information. The Japanese 'Foreskin Complex' was quite evident in a few of the photos. One such photo showed a Japanese with a completely naked white captives standing on each side of him. They were all three facing the camera. With his right hand the Japanese was pulling extremely taunt the long foreskin of the uncircumcised nude on his right and with his left hand he was doing the same with the long foreskin of the uncircumcised nude on his left. The Japanese was laughing, enjoying the display of foreskin he was giving his viewers. The Japanese consider it very humiliating to be seen in public with the foreskin covering the glans. One photo was a close-up of a penis, still attached to a young American prisoner who was still alive. The penis had been nailed to the top of a three foot high post by a large spike down through the center of the glans. The testicles were also nailed to the sides of the post below the penis by a large spike through the center of each testicle. (This form of genital torture is well known in many countries and the victim on the recieving end of the crucified cock and balls is usually forced to somehow pull himself away from the post....thus adding to his pain and mutilation).A 'posed' photo in the collection depicted an obviously embarrassed naked prisoner standing next to a Japanese who had his index finger stuck all the way up inside the prisoners stretched urethra. The prisoner's penis was grotesquely huge and misshappen, indicating that it had been worked over for some time before it was able to 'take' a finger all the way up inside it. I have since heard that the Japanese, fascinated by the large American penis, often chose a prisoner with an exceptionally large penis and inserted objects into the urethra, each time a larger object until the urethra was so stretched that it could accomodate a small Japanese penis all the way up inside it.Possibly the most horrid photos in the set dealt with fire. They were of prisoners tied to trees, etc., and smoke coming up from between their legs. One photo showed two nakedd prisoners tied facing each other, their genitals tied together by a short piece of wire and a Japanese holding a burning torch beneath their genitals. I have also since learned that the Japanese were very prone to using fire as a torture. They quite often burned prisoner's genitals off with red hot irons, welding torches, etc. They would rub gasoline or some other flammable liquid on the prisoner's penis, the irritation causing an erection, and then set it on fire. Sometimes they would immediately snuff out the fire and threaten to go through the procedure again unless the prisoner talked....the penis having been ruined anyway, whether the prisoner talked or not.According to Anthropologist, Felix Byrk, the Japanese are among the most 'Phallic' minded race on earth. It is not unusual for a mother to show-off her new born son to admirers by displaying his penis. The Japanese, who have a volumnous erotic art tradition, at one time glorified the Ainu, the hairy aborigine of the Japanese islands whose penis is larger than this Mongolian intruders. Then, upon contact with the west, and the discovery that the white man had an even larger penis, it was the white man who became the glorious satyr of their erotic art. (Later, during the post WWII occupation years and the discovery that the American black had an even bigger penis, the black man became the honored satyr). Upon entering the war, most Japanese men had absolutely no contact with Westerners, except through their erotic art. Little wonder, then, as to their sexual curiosity, and treatment, of 'our boys'! Not all of the sadism during the Pacific War however was on the part of the Japanese. There are numerous stories of American sadism, even against their own men. One rather amusing story was related by an ex-Marine who claims that a medical officer in his company finished the war with two gallon jars full of pickled foreskins. This story was verified as true not too long ago when two gallon jars filled with pickled foreskins were sold in a private auction in Connecticut. It seems that as new recruits were assigned to the company and reported for their first medical, he would take the 'Uncuts' into his office and demand that they authorize an immediate circumcision, saying that it was an order of the company commander, (a lie of course). Being in the middle of the Pacific on an island, with a war raging, he met with little resistance. He also spared little pain killer medicine according to the report and the other men in the company knew what happened when a new man spent the first couple of days in sickbay, and later appeared in the shower with a bandaged cock. They nicknamed these men 'Andycocks'...the medics name was Anderson. One of the most horrible atrocity scenes I have ever heard about was described to me by an eyewitness from the Korean War. The eyewitness's army unit had been ambushed and he managed to escape and hide in some nearby trees, where he watched in horror as his buddies were mutilated. All of the captives were stripped naked and their hands were tied behind their backs to their feet. As they lay on the ground, their genitals were extremely vulnerable. The North Koreans then began hacking at the American's genitals with their trenching tools, sometimes taking several hits before the genitals were eventually hacked off. The bloody wounds were then cauterized with torches and the prisoners abandoned. Only three men out of the whole company survived the brutal torture and emasculation counting the eyewitness. The extreme intensity of the penis fixation of the Orientals was again demonstrated in Viet Nam. A conservative estimate has it that somewheres around one hundred thousand (100,000) American soldiers fell victim to a practice that has come to be referred to as 'Viet Style Circucmcision', which was nothing more than the age old practice of battlefield emasculation of the enemy.I will conclude these three sections about the 'Castration Complex, Arab-African Sadism, and War Atrocitiesd with one final observation! The American, so naive and vulnerable...so unaware that most of the world thinks of him as a 'sex hero' to be plucked. Men have always equated military power with sexual power...jealousy. After traveling around the world and spending time with the Arabs, I often wonder about the American army which will, inevitably meet an Arab army somewhere in the Mid-East. What will the lusty, castration minded Arabs do to 'our boys'?
