Polish Officer humiliating execution

This polish soldier was beaten, stripped naked and hanged by Red army

The first is in Orlando Figes's history of the Russian revolution, A People's Tragedy (1996). It shows a naked man, apparently a Polish officer, killed by the Reds in the Russo-Polish war in 1920. The caption reads, "The naked man was hanged upside-down, beaten, cut and tortured until he died." The Russians surrounding him watch, some impassive, others amused
